2021 DOT Random Test Rates
In accordance with Federal guidelines, if the reported positive drug test rate for the DOT modal agencies is below 1 percent for 2 consecutive years, the Administrator can reduce the random drug testing rate of covered employees.
Since rates were changed in 2020, there are tentatively no rate changes for calendar year 2021 with the exception of the alcohol testing rate for FRA Maintenance-of-Way.
At this time, these are the anticipated rates for 2021:
