Hemoglobin A1c | Hemoglobin A1c, also called A1c or glycated hemoglobin, is hemoglobin with glucose attached. The A1c test evaluates the average amount of glucose in the blood over the last 2 to 3 months by measuring the percentage of glycated (glycosylated) hemoglobin. |
Glucose | To determine if your blood glucose level is within a healthy range; to screen for and diagnose diabetes and prediabetes and to monitor for high blood glucose. |
Insulin | To help evaluate insulin production by the beta cells in the pancreas; to help diagnose the presence of an insulin-producing tumor. |
